Our young people play a critical role in the future wellbeing of our Culture, Communities, and Country.

My Voice, My Journey is a program built on the concept that culture and identity are integral foundations for successful leadership and resilience amongst our young people.

We take emerging First Nations leaders on journeys to connect with other communities, Elders, and Knowledge holders empowering them to explore and strengthen their cultural identity.

Throughout the journeys, they are supported to find and strengthen their voices, empowering them to inform and influence decisions about their lives and their communities.

Addressing a critical gap for First Nations youth

Participants in our program may have not been offered support elsewhere simply because they have not been visibly struggling, and, on the surface, appear to do well socially and at school.

This often belies the very real challenges our young people face on a daily basis. Our programs addresses this hidden need by providing a culturally safe environment for our young people to share their stories.

For most of my life, I felt unsure of my identity, but the program helped with that. It helped me find myself and understand how much my culture influences so many aspects of my life.
